Both of these sides had already made it through to the knock out stages of the league, with this game essentially being a knock out game to keep alive the hope of home advantage in that knock out phase. The visitors started the game keener to gain home advantage and essentially that hunger carried them over the hour. Our U16s collected their first win of 2012 with a 5-9 to 0-8 win over Loughmacrory tonight. Goals from Marty O'Neill (2), Sean Dooher, Ryan McAleer and Kevin Cairns ensured that the Roes got both points.

Owen Roes U16s collected their first point of 2012 as they shared the spoils with neighbours Newtownstewart. The Owen Roes juvenille squad suffered their second defeat on the bounce in Greencastle on Saturday as the home side emerged winners. Kevin Cairns bagged the Owen Roes goal,but Gavin Slane's 1-5 went a long way to seeing Greencastle over the line.
