An excellent Owen Roes display tonight in Plumbridge saw the Leckpatrick lads emerge with an eight point victory over their neighbours. The foundation for the result lay in an impressive first half Owen Roes showing that kept the hosts scoreless. Cathal McShane converted a 4th minute free to get the scoreboard turning, and good work from the oustanding Conor Doherty allowed Damian Ferguson to add on minutes later. The juvenille footballers of Owen Roes got their season off to a poor start when they lost heavilly to Drumragh on Thursday evening. The O'Neills went in at the turn three points down, but a disjointed second half showing left Drumragh to cruise home and take the spoils. The Sarsfields had led 0-6 to no score at one stage of the half before Owen Roes through off the shackles.
