Owen Roes will contest the 2011 U14 grade 2 Championship final following this narrow victory over Pomeroy in Gortin on Saturday past. Michael Dooher (1-4) and Ryan McAleer (2-1) were the main scorers on this occasion, with Barry McDaid (0-1) also in range. Full forward Sean Kelly also troubled the netting with a goal as the North Tyrone side advance to a final showdown with Naomh Mhuire.

Owen Roes are into the last four of the 2011 league thanks to an eight point win over Naomh Mhuire in a game that was much closer than the scoreline suggested. The club's U14 footballers took their place in the last four of this year's Championship following an impressive victory over Donaghmore in Glenmornan this evening. Sean Kelly topped the scoring stakes with 2.4 but there was also goals from Ryan McAleer (2.3), Kevin Cairns (3.0), Michael Dooher (1.3), Cathal Kelly (1.2) and points from Aaron McGonigle (0-2).

Greencastle were the visitors to Glenmornan, in what is likely to be the final game of the regular season for both sides, on Saturday. After in hour it was the home side that ran out winners courtesy of a strong second half showing. Conditions were not ideal for decent football on Saturday as both sides emerged to a very strong wind.
