The club's impressive U14 showing for 2011 continued tonight in Glenmornan as the home side ran out winners against a spirited Newtownstewart side. Ryan McAleer clipped 1-5 for the hosts, supported by 1-1 from Michael Dooher. Sean Kelly also found his way to goal and there was also point scorers in Cathal Kelly (0-2), Kevin Cairns, Jame McGale, and Kieran McMenamin.

Owen Roes' goal blitz say them safely through to the quarter finals of the 2011 U14 Championship in Beragh today. Michael Dooher bagged 4 goals, added to by Ryan McAleer, Aaron McGonigle, Barry McDaid, Cathal Kelly, Kevy Cairns and Sean Kelly. Owen McNulty, Eoghain Devine, Timothy O'Doherty, Conal McCormick, Jamie McGale and Jack McGeehan stood out for the visitors.

The club's U14 charges made it 3 wins from 3 on Sunday past when they accounted for Fintona in Glenmornan. Michael Dooher was scoring in chief as he paired 3 goals with 3 points. However there were also contributions from Cathal Kelly (0-3), Aaron McGonigle (0-3), Ryan McAleer (0-2), Kevin Cairns (0-2) and Sean Kelly (0-1). Owen Roes celebrated their 40th year in the most appropriate of fashions on Saturday past when the club’s U14 side collected the 2010 Tyrone grade 3 league title. A point down at the break, the Leckpatrick outfit dominated the second period to collect their first underage wares since 2004. It was Glenelly who rotated the scoreboard first with a point straight from throw in, as Eamon McConnell clipped over. St.Mary’s Park, Beragh was the setting for the 2010 grade 3 Championship final between Owen Roes and Moy. These two teams had met in a clinking Feile final earlier in the year, with the narrowest of margins giving the East Tyrone side victory.
