25TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION
Owen Roe’s will be
hosting a 25th Anniversary Reunion of players and officials of both
the 1992 Reserve League and Championship winning team and the 1992 U-14 League
winning team this Saturday night, 2nd September.
The Reunion is scheduled to start at 8pm with a barbecue and music by the popular Demi O’Hara in the Clubrooms in Glenmornan. All those who were part of both teams and their guests are welcome to come along as well as all Owen Roe’s supporters!

SOCIAL
Cards (25) get restarted this Tuesday for the Autumn. Cards Night is every Tuesday night in the Clubrooms starting at 9pm and is just for a bit of craic! New players always welcome!
Don’t forget to keep your Punters Club payments up to date. You can pay directly to the collectors at the Clubrooms on a Tuesday night at 9pm or pay through the bar staff on any night the Clubrooms are open.
If you would like to run a Quiz for a chosen charity or other fund-raising event please contact Joe Hegarty to book a night.
The Clubrooms and Glenmornan Community Hall are both available for any family functions, fundraising events, community activities or classes.

Commiserations to
Cathal Mc Shane and the Tyrone Senior team who lost out to Dublin on Sunday
last in the All-Ireland semi-final.
Congratulations however to the Tyrone U-17 team who overcame Roscommon in the inaugural U-17 All-Ireland Final also on Sunday.
Good luck to the
Tyrone Ladies Senior team who now meet Sligo in the Intermediate All-Ireland
semi-final this Saturday, 2nd September, at 3pm in Breffni Park,
Cavan. The match is the curtain raiser to the Senior semi-final between Cork
and Mayo at 4.45pm. Both matches will be shown live on TG4.

UNDER-6S TO UNDER-10S
Last Sunday might
not have been a good day for Tyrone but one young man made sure Owen Roe’s had
a winner on the pitch.
Eoghain Doherty was selected by AIB to be one of the Tyrone flag bearers as the Red Hands ran out on to the Croke Park turf on Sunday. Well done Eoghain!!
Coaching for U-6s, U-8s and U-10s continues every Thursday from 7pm to 8pm.
The Ladies U-10 Blitz scheduled for this Saturday, 2nd September, has been postponed due to the Tyrone Ladies Senior team playing in the All-Ireland semi-final this Saturday. It has been rescheduled for Saturday week, 9th September at 10.30am (venue to be announced).
The next U-10 Go-Games Blitz is also on Saturday week, 9th September, and the next U-8 Blitz is on Saturday 16th September.
Owen Roe’s will
hosting the U-10s Blitz on Saturday 23rd September followed by the
U-8s Blitz on Saturday 30th September.
LADIES U-16 TEAM
The Ladies U-16 team
were due to play Urney last Tuesday night but the match had to be postponed
until a later date due to the heavy rain causing a waterlogged pitch.
On Tuesday night past they were at home to Badoney when they played out a draw.
This Friday night they are away to Clann na nGael, next Tuesday night they are at home to Newtownstewart and on Friday week they are at home to Aghyaran. Throw-ins all at 7pm.
U-16 (BOYS) TEAM
The U-16 boys, playing with Clann na nGael, lost out to Dromore last Monday night.
On Monday night past
they were at home to Strabane and lost out narrowly to 3 late points from
Sigerson’s.
Tomorrow night (Thursday) they will travel to play Pomeroy for their last League game. Throw-in at 7pm.
The draw for the U-16 Championship will take place at the County Board meeting this Tuesday night.
RESERVE AND SENIOR FOOTBALL
Last weekend neither the Reserves nor the Seniors had games due to Tyrone being in the All-Ireland semi-final.
This Sunday the Reserves and Seniors play host to Newtownstewart in Páirc an Ghleanna with later throw-in times of 5.15pm for the Reserves and 6.45pm for the Seniors.
