Thurs 18th April – Coaching for U-8s and U-10s from 7 to 8pm in Glenmornan.

Sat 20th April – ACL: Owen Roe’s v Cookstown (Reserves at 3.30pm and Seniors at 5pm).

Ladies 9/11-a-Side League: Beragh v Owen Roe’s at 6.30pm.

Tues 23rd April – Cards (25), Lotto and Punters Club – all at 9pm

Wed 24th April – U-14 League (boys): Owen Roe’s v Castlederg at 7pm.

Thurs 25th April – Minor League: Trillick v Owen Roe’s at 7.30pm.

Friday 26th April – ACL: Newtownstewart v Owen Roe’s (Seniors only) at 7.15pm.

Sat 27th April – U-10 ½ s Blitz – venue and time to be announced.

Sun 28th April – Closing date for applying for Tyrone v Derry tickets.

Thurs 2nd May – Ladies U-14 League: Tattyreagh v Owen Roe’s at 7pm.

Sat 11th May – Darkness into Light annual walk.

Mon 1st July – Thurs 4th July – Tyrone GAA Summer Camp at Owen Roe’s

The Tyrone County Board has now released application forms for students for Gaeltacht grants. The grants are available to all GAA members who will be attending the Gaeltacht this year.

Darkness into Light is a 5k walk which takes place worldwide on Saturday 11th May at 4.15 am. Strabane will be hosting this event for the fourth year running and invite you to join in their walk to support those affected by suicide and self-harm.

Membership fees are now overdue for renewal since March 31st. If you haven’t renewed your membership yet please do so as soon as possible!

All players (youth, Ladies and adult), coaches, referees, Committee members, Club volunteers and those wishing to continue being Full or Social members or become members must have their fees paid before Sunday 31st March.

Fee details are available on the Club noticeboard and on the Membership Application Forms which can be downloaded from the Club website, or which can be obtained from Club Registrar Paul Mc Gonagle or from the bar during opening hours.



Any fully paid up member wishing to be considered for tickets for Tyrone’s preliminary round match in the Ulster Championship is asked to have their requests with Club Secretary, Tony Mc Gonigle no later than Sunday 28th April. The match is due to be played in Omagh on Sunday 12th May. Send your request to Tony on secretary.owenroes.tyrone@gaa.ie


Cards (25) continue every Tuesday night in the Clubrooms starting at 9pm and is just for a bit of craic! New players always welcome!

The Clubrooms and Glenmornan Community Hall are both available for any family functions, fundraising events, community activities or classes.

If you would like to run a Quiz for a chosen charity or other fund-raising event please contact Joe Hegarty to book a night.


Owen Roe’s will be hosting the Tyrone GAA Summer Camp this year from Monday 1st July until Thursday 4th July. More details will be released when they become available!



The Tyrone Ladies GFA is holding a Level One Coaching Course.  This is a two day Course and the dates are as follows; Day 1 - Saturday 27th April and Day 2 - Saturday 6th June. Venue to be confirmed.

To take part, coaches must already have done the Ladies FUNdamentals course, be over 18 and have at least 1 year’s coaching experience within the club.

Coaches that are interested in attending should forward their names to Coaching Officer Paul Philips or Club Secretary Tony Mc Gonigle by 9pm tonight Thursday 18th April 2019 


There is also an Award 2 coaching course coming up for coaches who work with Youth and/or Adult teams in a club, school or county setting.

Coaches who wish to attend this course must hold an Award 1 qualification in the relevant discipline, which is an essential criterion for enrolment on this course.

The course will take place over three weekends in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh as follows: Weekend 1 - Friday 17th May, 7.00pm – 10.00pm; Saturday 18th May, 9.00am – 5.00pm; Weekend 2: Friday 31st May, 7.00pm – 10.00pm, Saturday 1st June, 9.00am – 5.00pm and Weekend 3: Saturday 15th June, 9.00am - 2.00pm.
