Last Monday night, the Club, in conjunction with representatives from the Ulster Council, held a workshop to draw up a new Club Development Plan for the next few years.

For those members, supporters, volunteers and parents who could not attend in person the workshop, we now invite you to submit any recommendations or ideas that you would like to be included in our new 3-year Development Plan.

Ideas should be part of one of the five Foundation Categories below: Culture, Community and PR; Club Development and Facilities; Club Management

Finance and Fundraising and finally, Coaching and Games.

All suggestions should be passed on to Club Development Officer Mark Mc Gonigle or through the Owen Roe’s Club Secretary e-mail address.


Applications are now open for all those wishing to attend this year’s Michaela Foundation Camps and Campa Chormaic. Check out their respective websites for more details and application forms.


Owen Roe’s will be hosting the Tyrone GAA Summer Camp this year from Monday 1st July until Thursday 4th July (10am to 1pm) for all children aged between 5 and 14.

The Camp cost is £30 for the first child then reduces in price per sibling. Register early as there will be a late registration fee of £5 per child for registrations received after the 30th June and to ensure delivery of the Camp playing gear.

The annual Irish language course, run by the GAA’s Ulster Council, will take place this summer from Monday 15th to Friday 19th July 2019 in Downings. The Course is free to attend and is open to all adult members of the GAA. Musical and other cultural activities also feature in the week-long course.

Well done to Cathal Mc Shane and the Tyrone Senior team who are now through to the Ulster Championship semi-final on Saturday 8th June when they will meet Donegal in Breffni Park in Cavan with throw-in at 5pm.

The mens’ match will be preceded by the Ulster Ladies Senior Championship semi-final also between Tyrone and Donegal at 3pm so why not get along early and support the other Tyrone team in action??

Any fully paid up member who wishes to be considered for tickets for the game should have their requests with Club Secretary, Tony Mc Gonigle, no later than 9pm this Sunday night, 2nd June.

PLEASE NOTE: Owen Roe's will only receive a maximum of 4 Covered Stand tickets and 4 Open Seating tickets per Club for this game. The majority of tickets will be terrace tickets!


Free fun coaching for children and adults with physical or learning disabilities continues every Wednesday until 12th June from 6 to 7pm at the Tyrone GAA Centre in Garvaghey. The Club will be hosting its now annual 5K Run on Thursday, 4th July. The Run is open to all over 12 years of age, of all abilities and fitness levels. There will also be a 1K Fun Run for U-12s.

Like last year, this year’s 5K will be run over the same flatter, faster course.

Registration for the run will be from 6pm to 7.15pm at the Clubrooms in Glenmornan with the Run starting at 7.30pm.

Entry fees are £7 for over -18s, £3 for U-16s and £1 for U-12s.


The Clubrooms will also be showing the Champions League Final between Liverpool and Spurs live on the big screen next Saturday night. Kick-off is at 8pm!
