FIXTURES AND EVENTS (subject to change)

Thurs 4th Aug – Ladies U-16 League: Owen Roe’s v Newtownstewart at 7pm. 

Tickets for the Tyrone v Mayo match can be collected from 9.30pm tonight. Tickets for those going on the bus can be collected tomorrow unless otherwise notified.

Fri 5th Aug - U-8 and U-10 coaching off until 26th August.

Sat 6th Aug – All-Ireland quarter finals: Tyrone v Mayo live on the big screen at 4pm in the Clubrooms – doors open 3.30pm. Donegal v Dublin will be shown at 6pm.

Mon 8th Aug – U-12 Go-Games: Owen Roe’s v Newtownstewart at 7.15pm.

U-16 League (boys): Pomeroy v Owen Roe’s at 7.15pm.

Monthly Committee meeting at 8pm.

Thurs 11th Aug – Ladies U-16 League: Pomeroy v Owen Roe’s at 7pm.

TYRONE NEWS

Good luck to Cathal Mc Shane and the Tyrone Senior team who take on Mayo this Saturday in Croke Park in the All-Ireland quarter finals at 4pm. The match will be shown live in the Clubrooms on the big screen followed by Donegal v Dublin in the other quarter final. Doors open 3.30pm.






OWEN ROE’S SCRATCHCARDS

Owen Roe’s latest fundraiser is scratch cards for the All-Ireland football final. Each scratch card has a time in minutes and seconds. If this time matches the time the first goal is scored in this year's All-Ireland football final the owner wins £250!!
Scratch cards are now being distributed to all adult and youth players, Club members, supporters and parents and all your support is appreciated! 
Sell them where you can.... the quarter finals this Saturday, the pub, out with friends, at your work, at a concert, along your street or road or around your park....
Scratch cards are priced £2 or €3 each, 3 for £5 or 2 for €5. You can collect your quota of scratch cards from Shauna Dooher.



LADIES NEWS

The Ladies U-16s get their League campaign underway tonight, Thursday, when they host Newtownstewart in Glenmornan with throw-in at 7pm. Next Thursday night they are away to Pomeroy with throw-in at 7pm.

 


YOUTH NEWS

The U-16s (boys) lost out to Newtownstewart Monday week ago but bounced back with a 2 point away win over Loughmacrory last Thursday. Last night they were at home to Beragh and on Monday night they are away to Pomeroy with throw-in at 7.15pm followed by a home match against Both Domhnaigh next Thursday night, again at 7.15pm.


Coaching for the U-6s wound last Friday night for this year. Thanks to all the children who took part, to their coaches for giving up their time and to those who helped out in any other way.

Coaching for U-8s and U-10s also finished up for a short break last Friday night. It was due to resume on Friday 19th August but because of road closures in Glenmornan for the Ulster Rally that night, it will now resume on Friday 26th August at 7pm.

The U-10s will have their next Blitz on Saturday 20th with the next U-8 Blitz on Saturday 27th August.

The U-12s were due to play Newtownstewart last night but the match was postponed and will be played on Monday night, 8th August, Throw-in at 7pm. Next Wednesday night they are away to Drumquin with throw-in at 7.15pm.



 

SENIOR AND RESERVE NEWS

Sunday’s Senior match against Clann na nGael was postponed. The Reserve match was still due to go ahead as planned but for some reason this game was also postponed.

The Reserves and Seniors next scheduled match is pencilled in for Sunday 14th August when both teams are due to travel to Newtownstewart.

CLUB MERCHANDISE

The new Club skinnies, regular-fit track bottoms, polo shirts and T shirts are now in stock. Anyone who ordered any of these items or who got them through the Guess the Score is asked to collect them and pay for them (if applicable) as soon as possible. Another order of skinnies will be here this week if anyone wishes to get a pair.

There is a small number of Club bodywarmers in stock in small, large and extra-large at the minute. Another order is currently being taken and anyone wishing to order one (youth £35 and adult £40) should do so as soon as possible as the order will be going to O’Neill’s at the end of August. All normal sizes from age 5/6 up to extra-extra-large will be available. Orders to Joe Hegarty.

Orders are also still being taken for the new range of Owen Roe’s T shirts and polo shirts. T-shirts (£25) for children in ages 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 10/11 and 13/14; polo shirts (£35) for adults in sizes small, medium, large, extra-large and extra- extra-large.

It is hoped to have a Family Fun Day at the Club on Sunday 14th August (fixtures permitting). More details soon!
