Attacker Cathal McShane will undoubtedly steal the headlines from Owen Roes' victory over Fintona on Sunday past, however doing so would be a disservice to the Tyrone's man colleagues who all contributed to their side's ten point win. The home side struggled to get to grips with their visitors in the opening half but a much improved second half display put the game out of reach.

Pauric Kelly gave Fintona an early lead, but despite struggling to settle McShane and Brendan Boggs soon nudged Owen Roes into a lead, with Ryan McAleer's hard work allowing Conall McCormick to tag on a further white flag.

McShane and Aaron McCarney traded frees before good interplay between Kevin O'Neill and McShane once again saw a point awarded. Boggs grabbed his second on the quarter hour mark but Owen Roes were pegged back by a 17th minute penalty. Ryan McShane was harshly adjudged to have committed an offence but McCarney had little sympathy as he blasted home the spot kick.

The North Tyrone side responded via a McShane free but Eugene McCarroll and Niall Mellon leveled things up for the Pearses. Owen Roes went into the break one ahead though with McShane (0-2) clipping over twice from play followed by a fisted effort from Mellon at the death.

Ronan Parker was called off the bench at the break and the burly attacker didn't take long to find range. McShane and McCarney exchanged frees before Owen Roes' first goal on 38 mins. McShane supplied the drilled finish but the spade work was all done by Ryan McAleer whose fine play gave it to his forward partner on a plate.

Three more McShane scores- two from frees- was only interrupted by a McCarney dead kick as the O'Neills threatened to run away with things. However John Fitzpatrick ran through unhindered to drive the ball past Ryan McShane to give his side  a lifeline.

Nathan Deane chalked another for Fintona in between another pair of McShane efforts, but it was all Owen Roes in the closing ten minutes.

Parker fisted over a high ball, before his side bagged their second goal. A fine flurry of passes went the length of the field with McShane applying the finish to the empty net, with the Owen Roes' forward converting a late free kick to end the game.
