Tattyreagh's under 16 side collected their first points of the season with a six-point victory over their counterparts from Owen Roes. The damage was done by the visitors in two spells at the start and end of the first half.
After 12 minutes of the game Tattyreagh had opened a 2-4 to no score lead, before centre half Ricky Devine bombed forward to haul Owen Roes into the contest with a well taken goal. Jason Barclay, Damian Ferguson and Cathal McShane added points to ignite the contest. Tattyreagh claimed a point, before the ball pinged around the Tattyreagh goal mouth and Liam McCay found the net.
Wing back Damian Ferguson got another score to cancel a St.Patrick's white flag. However Tattyreagh closed the half with a 1-3 to lead at the break 3-9 to 2-4.
Owen Roes came out for the second half determined to fight their way back into the game. Ferguson and McShane added to their tallies, before another McCay goal really brought the game to life. The game then entered an 11 minute scoreless phase, as both teams wrestled for the initiative. Ferguson's free ended the mini drought and brought Owen Roes to within two.
Tattyreagh though were not to be denied and closed the game out with 2-1, despite points from McShane (0-2) and Ferguson.
