Owen Roe’s and Augher were the only two Clubs in Tyrone who managed to get a Reserve game up and going on Sunday past as both sides put their 2018 seasons to bed.
It was to be a fruitful day for the away team as a team laced with youth and experience ran out comfortable winners on the day.
The Roe’s started sharp and kept up their drive for much of the game. Experience was the order of the day as Ronan Parker and Sean McBride shared the first 4 scores.
Their first goal came on 12 minutes as wing back Paul Devine raced forward to find a green flag.
Parker rattled off the games next three scores before Devine was in range again as he gallivanted forward to blast his second goal of the match.
The McBride brothers Sean and Eamon scored, trading points with Augher as Owen Roe’s led 2-9 to 0-2 at the whistle.
Devine added another to his tally, having to settle for a point this time. Ricky Devine notched another Roe’s score in between two Augher points.
Paul Devine (0-2), and Conn Tinney got the remainder of the Roe’s points with Liam McCay finding the goal after his initial placed kick came off the upright.
Both Clubs should be commended for fielding on a day when all other Reserve games fell by the wayside as another season came to an end.
