A fine second half comeback gave Owen Roes the spoils on an excellent surface in Strabane today. Five points in arrears at the break the home side fought back well in the second half to earn the win.
Drumragh with the aid of a healthy breeze started well and quickly found a 2-1 to no score lead. John Harper's free got Owen Roes up and going, with Stephen Kelly snr adding another cancelled out by a Drumragh point.
Owen Roes got a helping hand into the game when a dangerous ball into the square was punched to the net by a Drumragh defender. Nonetheless Drumragh tagged on twice more to lead at the interval.
The second half got off to a great start for the O'Neills, with a pair of Harper frees converted, and the scores were levelled when Mark O'Neill struck for goal. The same player tagged a point before Drumragh lifted the pressure by breaking for their third goal.
Keen to add to last week's opening draw, Owen Roes regained the initiative straight away with O'Neill adding his second major of the afternoon. Harper's free and Andy Devine's 45 started to edge the game away from Drumragh.
Devine and Ryan Logue added late points from play to take Owen Roes across the line and cap a hard working comeback.
