It was Aghyaran who put the first ball in the net but the game swayed both ways during the 60 minute encounter.

Midfielder Ricky Devine hit the net first for the Roes youngsters followed closely by 2 points from Charles and a goal from McShane after great defending by Ryan Devine.  Aghyaran were closely matching the scores though hitting 2 goals of their own.  Another 2 goals followed from the green and golds but then Owen Roes ran riot with Michael Dooher cleaning up in the forward line, with great fielding from Ronan and Philip.

As half time closed 4 points separated the sides with the Roes having the edge.  At the second whistle it was Aghyarans time to shine with a string of points and a goal.  But goalkeeper Kelly kept the Roes heads up saving shots all over the place.  A flurry of goals from Cathal, Aaron and Ronan put the Leckpatrick lads in the lead and they held onto that till the final whistle.
