A flurry of late action saw Owen Roes almost grab an Óg Sport U15 Grade 1 final spot, and then lose it again in a frenetic closing 2 minutes to this semi final tie.

Both sides exchanged early points with Michael Dooher's free and Conal McCormick in range for Owen Roes. With 6 minutes on the watch the O'Neills grabbed their first goal as Ryan McAleer slalomed through the tackles to pick his spot.

Kevin Cairns had a drive tipped over as the North Tyrone side blazed an early trail. However Carrickmore struck back with a solo goal of their own before a levelling free. Michael Dooher's late point left Owen Roes a point ahead at half time.

It was Carrickmore who started the second half strongest with an early 1-1. Conal McCormick replied for Owen Roes but Carrickmore were looking well set for the final when another 1-1 within 30 seconds gave them a six point cusion.

Ryan McAleer found the net for Owen Roes but the opposition struck back straight away when their keeper burst outfield to find the net.

Tempers became frayed late on, and with time almost up it was looking bleak for Owen Roes. However Michael Dooher bagged a quickly taken free to the net, and when Owen Roes collecting the kick out, Dooher was on hand again to find his spot and level the tie.

However in injury time Carrickmore broke the seige and a late, late 1-1 ended the contest and sent them through to the final.
