Owen Roes' minors suffered a bump in their hopes of making the knock out stages of the league with a 5 point defeat against Errigal Ciaran. The Roes' youngsters had an unfortunate night, as they were forced to field without corner back Oliver Gallagher, Cathal McShane and long term injury victim Ryan Devine. On the night the visitors lost a further three players to injury on an evening where little went to plan.
Errigal grabbed the games first goal before Kevin Cairns levelled things up as he scored after Marty O'Neill's effort was saved. The hosts got their first goal of the evening shortly after before Ronan McNulty saw his effort rattle the crossbar. McNulty did get a white flag a few minutes later, but the Dunmoyle side struck for a second major to give them a healthy lead.
The Leckpatrick side rallied and scores from O'Neill,
Conal McCormick traded points in the opening embers of the second half but Errigal were starting to take the game away from Owen Roes as they chalked up three points in a row. Indeed Jack McGeehan made a decent save to stop another Errigal green flag.
