Galbally's position at the husiness end of the 1B league was highlighted on Wednesday evening as they defeated a game home side that battled well and deserved more for their efforts over the hour.
Ryan Devine got the home side ahead early on, and despite two Galbally scores, Michael Dooher and a Ryan Devine free edged Owen Roes ahead again. However the away side were very accurate in front of the sticks and 2-2 without reply took the wind from Owen Roes' sails.
Dooher grabbed another score, but the Pearses hit 1-1 to end the half 3-5 to 0-4 ahead.
The home side had enough posession to register more scores in the second halg, but a combination of indecisive decision making, bad luck with the post being hit three times, and good Galbally defending denied them. At the other end the visitors had potency in abbundence missing very little over the evening.
Ryan Devine notched a further two scores in the second half but by this stage Galbally had added 1-7 to their score. Michael Dooher pulled a fisted goal back, and Ryan McAleer got a point for his efforts but Galbally were home and hosed.
